A few weeks ago, honestly, if anyone had told me I’d receive an award of appreciation from Google Developer Groups (GDG) Yenagoa, I’d probably have laughed it off. Not only did it happen, but it came as a beautiful, unexpected surprise that nearly knocked the tech out of me! With Mr. Bruce’s description of me as a ‘Tech Evangelist’
The young women who were trained in two weeks were the epic part of everything. In two weeks, they learnt content creation, graphics design, and video editing. Now, you would think that’s not enough time to learn these. Until it was time for their presentaions. You won’t believe it was just two weeks, they learnt them all.
That brings me to say what i always say: it’s not about how long it is about how well. Just have the interest, desire, and zeal to get it done, and time becomes nothing to you.

GDG Yenagoa, your work is changing lives. Thank you for this recognition and for being a beacon of innovation and community in our tech ecosystem, and I’m proud to be associated with you. Congratulations to the ladies, and welcome to the tech space.
One thing is clear: I am deeply honoured, incredibly humbled, and totally in awe. This wasn’t just a plaque, it was a loud, meaningful reminder that people are watching, that impact matters, and that even on days when it feels like you’re just ‘doing your thing,’ it’s actually making waves.
To the amazing team at GDG Yenagoa, thank you!
