The Keynote Speaker at 3MTT Graduation Ceremony

On my birthday, November 20th, 2024, I received an invitation from Olotu Square Bayelsa State, asking me to speak at the graduation ceremony for the 3MTT students. They wanted me to share my personal journey into the tech world and inspire these future professionals. Without hesitation, I accepted.

Standing before the graduates that day, I felt an incredible rush of joy and responsibility. It was more than just a speech; it was a moment of connection. I saw curiosity and determination in their eyes as I spoke about the realities of entering the tech industry; the challenges, the victories, and the rejections that come along the way. I made sure they understood that rejections weren’t roadblocks, but stepping stones to growth. I encouraged them to persist, to embrace each rejection as a chance to refine their skills and strengthen their resolve.

I stressed the importance of complementing their technical expertise; whether in data analysis or cybersecurity; with soft skills like time management, effective communication, and teamwork. These skills can make the difference in landing their dream job or gig. They needed to prepare themselves, not just for success, but for the setbacks that shape success.

The experience was amazing. After my talk, students approached me, their enthusiasm palpable. They asked insightful questions, eager to learn more, and I was honored to guide them. It was deeply rewarding to know my words could make an impact.

Not forgetting Oluwadicxion Bolodeoku and Ojonoka Diete-Spiff speeches and encouragement to the students. Thank you for the impartation.

I left the event feeling grateful for the opportunity and inspired by the students’ energy.
